You'll see why Outside Magazine named Richmond the Best River Town in the U.S. We start just above downtown in the beautiful urban forest of the James River Park System. Then we’ll turn the corner at Belle Isle to see the Richmond skyline laid out in front of us…and it’s time to conquer the Class III-IV Lower section of the mighty James River through downtown!
