Info session on JRA’s River Hero Homes

June 5, 2012 · 0 minute read

This is a bit last minute, but the James River Association will be holding an information session for its “River Hero Homes” program this evening from 5:30-7 p.m. at Ellwood Thompson’s, located at 4 North Thompson Street in Richmond.

River Hero Homes is a way to recognize homeowners who are successfully taking steps to improve water quality by reducing the amount of stormwater and pollution leaving their property. Becoming a River Hero Home is a simple way to help protect the James River. Depending on where you live, becoming a certified River Hero Home may also help you qualify for stormwater rebates or credits offered by your locality. Visit the River Hero Homes website for more information!

If you miss tonight’s session but are interested in the program, the next session will be held on Thursday, June 14 from 12-1:30pm in Lynchburg at the Region 2000 Office, 828 Main Street on the 12th Floor and lunch will be provided. That evening there will be a secondary meeting at the Lynchburg Public Library, located at 2315 Memorial Avenue from 6:30-8pm.

Contact Michelle Kokolis at mkokolis@jrava.org or 804-788-8811 ext. 204 to register to attend.
