Trail work at new Reedy Creek takeout Saturday

Love to run and ride the James River Park trails? Give back by volunteering! Here’s a chance from Richmond-MORE:

The Reedy Creek Ramp Project is wrapping up and now it’s time to take care of the trails portion of the ramp. What? Isn’t this a boating ramp? How are trails involved? We’re glad you asked. One of the lesser used trails down by the river, runs behind the JRPS visitors center and crossed the mouth of Reedy Creek right where the new ramp has gone in. So we need to reroute the trail to avoid the new ramp. This will be Saturday’s project.

With the holidays quickly approaching, this will probably be our last trail work day of 2011. But we’ll be back in force in 2012 with some big new projects. Speaking of the holidays, the Nathan and the the other trail care crew guys will happily accept any X-mas presents you may wish to bring them.

  • When: 9am on Saturday, December 17th
