On Thursday, Dec. 22, the Friends of James River Park will have a Winter Solstice Celebration on Belle Isle.

Meet on the Tredegar Street side of the Belle Isle Pedestrian Bridge at 4:30 p.m. to walk across the river for a simple and heartwarming gathering where to thank the JRPS employees and contemplate the beauty of a winter’s night.

Hot chocolate and cider is expected to be served and a little bonfire is expected to be there to warm everyone. The view of the Richmond skyline is fantastic, so please bring your camera and a great attitude!
