Our River Shredders camp is structured to provide a breadth of paddling experience to both experienced and new river lovers alike. This amazing opportunity will expose your children to professional instruction and RO’s award-winning brand of river adventure and exploration. Your kids will have a one-of-a-kind experience learning to paddle just about everything: sit-on-top kayaks, stand up paddleboards, duckies, even guiding a whitewater raft! Swift water rescue and river safety instruction will also be a featured in this camp…
But it’s not all about whitewater paddling instruction. No RO camp would be complete without loads of swimming, river island exploration and good old-fashioned camp standards. At an age where it’s hard to keep these young adventurers entertained, a week with us will teach them to enjoy the giant natural playground in our backyard – the James River.
River Shredders Camp is held on and around RVA’s awesome, award-winning river and urban forest. Camp is led by ACA certified instructors who are also professional river guides.
